Was wondering why LJ was being so slow to load...and then see it splattered all over, that Farrah Fawcett and Michael Jackson died.
Customer came in and told me the news, I go, "huh", and add in that I always like Farrah better. But, still, Michael Jackson was 50, and I didn't really think he was OLDER than me, but then I guess he was, and doesn't that feel weird. Farrah was more a childhood icon for me, I was watching FIRST RUN Charlie's Angels in the 70s, and I was more partial to the Osmonds than the Jackson 5, so...yeah.
It's sad they died. It's sad my grandma died last year. It's sad that a girl in Iran, part of a peaceful demonstration, was shot in the chest and bled out on a city street. Maybe the saddest part of it all is that there's so many deaths happening in the world, so many wonderful, beautiful people dying, who will be remembered by only those close to them, and will not garner the notice a celebrity gains with his/her death.
