I am getting real tired of trucking down to the rental office.
This time the senior lady was in, and had apparently been called by the idiot to be apprised of the situation. Allegedly, they sent the information back yesterday but probably like one minute before she went out the door or something, just to be a lazy bitch about it. So later on today I have to call the PNP again to see if they got the info.
Good news is I don't have to do a 30 day notice, just a 20 day notice, so I have till next Friday to do notice for end of month. As far as the lease goes, they will let me do a buyout of $474. Damn, it should be illegal for these places to not only charge you for the remainder of your lease but to also draw rent on the unit. I got my list of cleaning instructions but as they're going to be replacing the carpet and vinyl, I don't have to shampoo carpet or mop, just sweep and vacuum. Looking at the list it's also amazing the shit they try to pull on you, like charging $7 to replace each light bulb. I will have to replace a few but not the ones on the dining room and bathroom fixtures, as they will be replacing those. As for the cleaning, I am wondering if it wouldn't be worth it to just pay someone to do the cleaning. Will have to look into that...
95 yesterday and supposed to be 93 through the weekend, going down to the 70s again on Monday. Am ready to move into place with central air so there's no more noisy rattling AC.

Oh, and I forgot on previous post. GMAIL! For some reason on sister's laptop when she tries to send emails through Gmail, she will type up the body of text and hit Send and IE will pop up a window asking her if she wants to send email without text. Looking through Google, I found a page full of complaints on this but no solution....anyone have a solution? One poster suggested it was IE8 but another said they had IE8 and it only did it on one of multiple browsers. Which I take to mean it does it on one computer the person has used. Can it be fixed using an older version of Gmail? I have no problem sending emails through this computer but I am also using Firefox. She won't use another browser due to bookmarks or just her innate stubbornness, which I can understand, because it should just work.

AND...we are in!
Sunday we go to sign the paperwork. Apparently the apartment is ready right now? Brother has paid for a week at his motel so he's staying there for that time and I guess I can start moving stuff in gradually. At the least move the stuff still in boxes from last time or to be honest just go through the boxes and get rid of what I don't need to keep. Need boxes and lots of them MEHHH. Need to do a checklist of stuff needing to be done and one in particular: change of address. Just need to know what new address will be lol.
It will be half the driving distance and with the previous one being a fifteen minute drive it's relatively close. Central air so will be cool in the summer and warm in the winter. And since it's a 2 bedroom place and not the two of us sharing a small one bedroom it should be easier to get along, especially since I'll have a room to sit in.
It's sad and pathetic to think I have lived in that place for about sixteen years. Not so much finances as complacency and not being eager to move out of my nest. And the nest was even more comfortable once I kicked the other birds out of it. To my mind, only real good thing about having a roommate is sharing rent and bills.
