Relayed to me through sister....brother apparently wants central air/heating in apartment. 'Cause heaters catch fire?
SIGH.
We're already at a tough point in wanting two bathrooms and two bedrooms. Adding in the extra bathroom jacks up the price. Wanting central air raises it up more.
Of the places we've seen only one had central air...but the counters were SMALL. Yeah, I want central air too mainly for the purpose of air conditioning for the warm times this summer but I am willing to take a place where I'm going to have to add in an air conditioner of my own. Counter space, though, I WANT. I cook and it's important to me, plus it makes it easier to do the job when you got more room to spread out.
Me, for sharing a place, I don't want to pay all of what I am now as a shared rent. I want a rent where my portion will be at least $100 less than I'm paying now, for the purposes of getting to actually save up money. BLEAHHH I knew this was going to be a problem from the beginning, getting a place with him, and after only this week of looking, I am ready to stick with my own place...but he doesn't want to live alone so...BLEAHH. One problem of his is that he seems incapable of getting into the mindset where you have to learn to adjust to your surroundings/situation, rather than letting it send you into a frenzied spiral of anxiety.
