So...I think we've found a place. Settled for a place. Tomorrow we apply and then find out if the place wants us.
Over the weekend, I had pretty much convinced myself I didn't want to do the apartment thing with brother but apparently I wasn't completely convinced, as I agreed to stick with it and settle on this one place. Central air, AC in the summer and heat in the winter, washer and dryer, etc etc. My share will be $400 so I'll get the chance to save some money. Given the last time we did the application and got turned down by this rinky dink apartment complex, I am not so sure this will go through but at the least, will have given it a try.
In any case, I can't get out of this place for at least a month and then I've got the problem with the lease. Won't go to the management about moving until we find out whether or not the other place will take us. From the lease's wording, I'm liable for any rents accrued till the place gets rented out. Good luck with that, people! Though since they claim they can get people in new to pay more than I do, they shouldn't have a problem filling it, should they?
Heh, will see how it goes. Might have to keep looking. No point in getting excited about it or thinking it's a done deal ahead of time. Though if we get turned down again due to the same reasons last time--bad credit on brother's part--then not sure where to go from there.
