Got in to sign the paperwork and take possession of the apartment. It's not bad, bigger of course than mine, and I kinda claimed the master bedroom, which is only moderately bigger than the other one. It has the attached bath too which will house the cat and her paraphernalia, my justification to brother for claiming it, adding in that I can shut the door and keep her in that part of the apartment. A cat which we...ahem...don't really have. Or I don't really have. Initial talk about the apartment I asked about deposit, specifying a cat, but subsequent talks didn't mention pet so...gonna smuggle her in. After all, I've never paid for a cat deposit in this apartment and over the years I've had three cats in here.
Am still convinced the kitchen counter space is not as much as at sister's but I will deal with it. Living room isn't bad, there's a small bit of a dining room, and with bushes shading the windows, it should stay cool. Patio and laundry room with newer looking washer and dryer, which is a big bonus in itself. No more having to drag laundry down to the coin operated room while hoping the washers aren't all full, or that the idiots who put their stuff in the dryer will actually come back to get it in a timely manner.
Got my hair dyed. Wanted black, sister asked me to try dark brown first, and dark brown is DARK, am glad I didn't get black after all. Of course it might lighten up with the first washing but if it doesn't this is certainly dark enough for me. No need for an Itachi wig this Halloween to go with the Akatsuki robe! Will have to get picture of it. Though sister worked hard to get it all through hair, there's a couple patches of resistant gray which looks like highlighting so no biggie lol.
And while starting on my closet, found the gym bag I made in seventh grade. Good golly, I am a horrible pack rat, and yet I still dropped it into the "keep" box. It's dirty and old and not really good for carrying stuff but, hell, it's something nice to come out of a horrible school year, the worst I ever had. Seventh grade was my Carrie year and even now I hold a grudge against the ringleader shits.
Hmmm not tomorrow but the next day will hand in my notice. Actually want to wait till close to the end period so I get the maximum amount of days out of it, to clear the place and clean it up. Next payday I can get the UHaul truck and load this stuff all up in one run. Also rent a dolly or see if sister has one or see if I can get a reasonably priced hand truck.
