To the ladies waiting in front of the store for me to open this morning...
I'm sorry if you might have thought it was rude for me to pick up the stuff your kids knocked down while you were still here. Me, I think it's rude that you let them run amok to begin with, and didn't ask them to pick the stuff up. So we're even, eh? Also, I can understand you simply can't be bothered to put back stuff your daughter tried on...but why did you also have to leave hanging in the dressing room something she never tried on to begin with? Gee, was the three strides you had to walk from bench to rack too much for you? It certainly was as long a walk to put it up in the dressing room.
To the young lady who called about exchanging her worn shoes...
Me, I know the first time I wear a pair of shoes if they're too big. So, no, I'm not going to exchange the shoes you wore five times to class and then decided they were too big. I'm no longer working at Payless, where that shit not only flew but was hoisted up on a flagpole to show off its colors. Ahh, Payless, you thought exchanging worn to death shoes for new was "good customer service". I guess it doesn't occur to you that you're not really making much in the way of sales off those customers who think paying for one pair entitles them to a lifetime of exchanges for new shoes.
Soooo glad today is shorter shift of being open. Am loving summer hours.
